New adjudicator confirmed!

As if the 2010 North Wales Choral Festival wasn’t shaping up to be exciting enough, we can confirm that we have lined up a brand new adjudicator! Specialising in Barbershop performances, Mark Grindall has a wealth of knowledge and experience in his field as a singer, musical director and judge.

Mark has been a member of the British Association of Barbershop Singers (BABS) since 1981 and boasts a varied career with many awards under his belt. Highlights include, quartet appearances across Europe and the USA with the biggest single audience of 500million for the televised opening night of Disneyland Paris; British and European gold medals and being the immediate past chair of the BABS guild of judges.

“We’re very pleased to welcome Mark on our panel”, said Alun Pritchard, event organiser. “Introducing the Barbershop section was new to us here at the North Wales Choral Festival, and it’s exciting to open up the festival to a new dynamic. We hope that with Mark’s expertise at judging can help to continue the development of the festival”.
